These clips connect to the rope very easily, and work great. There is no noise when the winds change and bang these against the pole like you have with the metal version.

OK - but a bit difficult to attach and detach Dec 19, 2010

The clips are nicely built, and appear sturdy enough to last a while, but I have found them a bit difficult to attach and detach from the flag grommets. There is a bump at the tip of the flexible lever arm which gets in the way, and I have to twist it sideways each time in order to attach or remove. Not a major issue, but I'm tempted to cut off that bump, just for convenience, recognizing that it may make the attachment slightly less secure.

just what I needed to replace what I have. I believe the shipping was way too expensive for such a small item that could be sent regular postage
