Good Bracket Jul 19, 2008
By Timothy J. Mccarthy This is similar to, but not exactly the same as, the bracket in the "Spinning Flagpole 3x5 U.S. USA American Flag Kit", also sold by Flags Unlimited. On this bracket, the thumbscrew used to cinch in the pole is on the left (as you face the installed bracket), in the kit, the thumbscrew is on the right. Unless you installed it yourself though, you'd never notice.
If you want to hang a flag, and already have a good 3'x5' flag, then get this bracket and a 1" pole. I got a Flags Unlimited "6 Foot 2-Piece Spinning Tangle-Free Flagpole", but any 1" pole will work. If you need a pole and flag, then go with the kit and save a little money. Recommended.

Valley Forge Multi-Position Cast Aluminum Flag Pole Bracket Dec 13, 2010
By Leslie R. Hazelton I purchased this item on October 13, 2010. I installed it on October 16th. I was very pleased with it until, less than two months later, on December 12, 2010 I found my flag laying on the ground. The adjustable portion of the casting had broken off at the base. Needless to say, I would not recommend it to my friends.

Snapped right off! Aug 08, 2010
By College-Selection-Crazed Mom Updating my prior review: I tugged on the flag to untangle it after a recent windy day, and this bracket snapped in two with the flag crashing to the ground. Definitely not as sturdy as it appeared! I will not purchase a second one.
We purchased this flag pole holder a few months ago when replacing our old flag pole with the variety that spins in the wind (excellent decision there). This is a very sturdy holder. It was easy to install and easy to adjust the angle. It's held up great so far, even through summer thunder storms, and I'd definitely recommend it to others.
Not Very Durable Jul 11, 2011
By C. C. Young Purchased this item to hold my 3x5 flag. Installed on the deck and it worked well, at least for a while. About 5-6 weeks later I found my flag on the ground. The bracket had snapped just below the tightening knob during a moderate thunderstorm. Needless to say, I'll be going with a different product.
Broken during storm Jul 07, 2011
By 0xDEADBEEF Had it for 7 months and it broke at the base of the holder above the adjustment bracket during a moderate storm.
