When our last US flag got shredded during normal use I decided to look for a sturdier flag. Everything about this flag exhibits both quality and beauty. First, it is made of 100% cotton. The natural beauty of this fiber sets this 'Old Glory' apart from mainstream nylon flags. Many of the flags found at government buildings and sites are cotton and made by this manufacturer, Valley Forge.
All Valley Forge flags are made in the USA since 1882. All of the stitching is symmetrical and the weight is excellent. Unlike previous nylon versions this flag has not furled over my standard flag pole once since the day it was flown! This company has earned my confidence and I expect to continue to fly their flags for years to come.

This flag is a wonderful addition to my front lawn. When my son left for Iraq I put up a flag pole on my front lawn. The first flag I bought was nylon, it only lasted a short time. It faded and tore in the wind. I was frustrated, this new flag is beautiful, it flys over my home like know other flag has flown. The quality is amazing. I finally got the flag that makes me proud many of my neighbors have commented on the flag, beautiful. Thank you Valley Forge. By the way my son came home from the Iraq is back in school. God bless and protect our troops and fly your flag they love to see it gives them pride in what they did for us.

Having spent 23 years in the USMC, I've had the opportunity to handle and fly flags of all sizes. This flag is exceptionally well made and I expect several years of service, even though it is up 24/7. (yes, it's lighted at night)You can't go wrong with this flag.

I leave my flags up 24/7. After going through about one nylon flag a year I decided to spend a few dollars more and get a cotton flag. I chose a Valley Forge flag because it is my understanding that this flag is American made and that the company supply's the US with flags.
I have to tell you that I'm disappointed in the flag. When I first removed the flag from the package I was shocked to feel that the material was as course as canvas. The whites are close to white but are not white. The blue appeared faded and worn out. The material was very wrinkled but figured that within a day or two after hanging, or at the worst, once it rained, the wrinkles would be gone.
Two months later and the wrinkles are still there. The edges are starting to get a little tattered and the stitching is already starting to fail. The reds are beginning to bleed a little into the off-whites. This flag will fly for about another month maybe two. By then it will look as if it was really at Valley Forge.
This was not worth the $25. I am going back to the nylon flags that I have been buying for $15. They are American made as well and are good for about a year.
