Flagpole looks great. Nice finish and sturdy too. I did not use the plastic bracket since I felt it was the weakest part of the kit. I already had a cast metal bracket which was white, so I just painted it to match. Most 1-piece flagpoles are 5-foot and the extra foot of length on this one moved the flag away from the porch steps so we won't get flag whacked anymore. I would definitely recommend.

I picked this flag pole as it said it was powder coated steel and I thought it looked simple and classy. What I received seemed much cheaper than what was described on Amazon but I put it up on the front of my house. The flag (3' x 5') got tangled in moderate winds so after four days I decided to take it down that's when I noticed the paint on the ball on the top of the flagpole had mostly flaked off and the ball wasn't even connected. This flagpole is a piece of junk and I'm returning it for a refund.
