Great Music for A Family Road Trip or Summer Picnic Nov 27, 2001
By Marge Sexton This album is an absolute treat. It is wonderful to have these artists music together in this one album. Even before 9/11, I had been planning on sending this album to everyone on my Christmas list. Now it's even more meaningful than ever. And best of all, proceeds from it help to pay for the restoration of America's treasures, such as the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the writing of the National Anthem. Just so you know, the restoration of our country's treasures was one of the main objectives of former First Lady, now Senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton. There is music on this CD you will definitely want your children to know. Plus, it's fun listening to it.

A very moving compilation Sep 17, 2001
By Ward J. Lamb I can't say enough good about the diversity of this wonderful cd.It is amazing to hear artists from three generations equally evocative, and all individual in style and delivery. The cd starts with Bernsteins master work on "Fanfare for the common man"another of his superb Copland interpretations. I love Sinatra and his rendition of "The House I live In".And the variety and heart-felt music keeps on going. Folk is represented by Judy Collins and Arlo Guthrie,as well as the great Bob Dylan doing his perennial "Blowin in the wind".I listen to this cd often, and it truly represents America in musical(popular) form to me. It's the house we live in!! Perhaps a few cuts are lesser in quality, like Rondtadt's delivery of "Livin' in the USA".Cher does her one up with her splendid reading of "The Star Spangled Banner".I don't know if I personally would have included Leeann Rimes, but all performances are better than than mediocre.Buy it for Thanksgiving, when everyone is appreciating being at home, and together.

Its Alright Jun 21, 1999
This CD is alright. I think that some of the selections for tracks are unusally for a CD trying to be a patriotic CD. I would of like to see a couple of songs by Sousa or Gershiwn along with the ones included here. The exlusion of Jimi Hendrix rendition of the National Athem is a crime because its is such a great version done by a rock star. This CD would be perfect for the 4th of July bar-b-que in a shuffle with some other party music. This CD would also be perfect for little kids on a road trip to sing along with. It would of just been better with some better selections of tracks on it, hopefully they might make a Sing America 2

By Laura Sherman I had this cd several years ago and it had been stolen with several cds. I have been looking in stores on and off and was never able to locate it again.
I really enjoy this cd for the variety of artists as well as the songs of old and newer ones too. My children enjoyed listening as we would travel on vacations and to visit family. It has been used as a teaching tool as well.

One Word...CHER Feb 22, 2002
By A. Bennett
"Will 'vouge' For Food"
There is no one on this earth like Cher...she is incredible. After watching her sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl, I knew that I had just witnessed a monumental moment. Her voice just soars, it is amazing. As for the rest of the album, there are a few standouts(but it is all about Cher!), LeAnn Rimes "God Bless America" is brilliant, and Judy Collins' wonderful "Amazing Grace" makes me cry real tears...oh Neil's "America" is still so wonderful after all these years. But of course, Cher closes the album and leaves you on the floor and bent over backwards.
