Description:

The flag of California was first flown during the Bear Flag Revolt as the flag of the California Republic, and a modified version was then adopted by the California state legislature in 1911 as the state flag. The flag of the U.S. state of California is often called the Bear Flag. The modern state flag is white with a wide red strip along the bottom. There is a red star in the upper left corner and a grizzly bear facing left in the center, standing on a patch of green grass. The bear depicted is a California grizzly bear, a subspecies that is now extinct.

This is an excellent flag for the price. It looks very well-made and the size is perfect. I don't know how it would withstand hanging regularly outside, but it has held up to hanging for a year in my dorm room. It hangs right in front of a window and seems to have been unaffected by the sun exposure. If you are just looking for a large flag to use for decoration, I would highly recommend this.

this a huge flag, great for covering large wall spaces. don't know if it would fare well outdoors though. completely worth its price

I got this as a surprise gift for my son who is off at an east coast liberal arts college. He loved getting it and put it right up on his wall, and he told me it added a lot of character to his room.

This flag is awesome for $10. Its huge and it made out of nice material that can be great outside. I just have it on my inside wall and it looks good hanging. Doesn't compare to the quality and workmanship of Annin flags, but also isn't $50-60!
