This was actually ordered for my mom, she had a small garden flag, the regular kind that sticks in the ground but that blew down repeatedly, this works perfect. I screwed it into her mailbox (I did use different screws that were a bit more sturdy) and it's exactly what she was looking for.

I was looking for a bracket to hang a garden flag from my brick mailbox. This item fit the bill perfectly. Simple design and easy to install. I did have to use different screws than what came with the item because I was screwing into brick.
