After many years use, excellent. Jul 12, 2008
By Photo Viz Guy the bolt and wingnut that are used to hold the pole at the desired angle were pretty flimsy as shipped. it wouldn't hold the bracket in place. when I added a nut that I could wrench, the bolt broke.
I replaced the shipped bolt and wingnut with a sturdier stove bolt set from the workshop and it seems to be very solid now. looks like it will last a long time.
2011 UPDATE: Several Years Later
The original flag pole holder is still holding firm. I was using it for a bird feeder, and it has taken a lot of abuse from squirrels and raccoons trying to get at the food. I ordered a second one now for another feeder location and was pleased to see that they have now updated the mounting hardware. The new unit is perfect in every way. Updating my rating to 5 stars.

Good construction Feb 17, 2008
By Russell M. Aldred
"Trackertech"
Very reasonable price and works great. With cordless drill had it up in about a minute. Sturdy, we had some very high winds just after I put it up and it held up perfectly. You will need to tighten the wingnut with pilers and not just your fingers so it will stay.

Sturdy bracket for flags or other uses Jul 24, 2008
By N. Ruth I bought a pair of these brackets to install some flags. They work wonderfully. They are adjustable through a large range, and solidly built. They have not been out in the elements long enough to comment on their durability, but if their construction is any indication, they'll hold up just fine. Although we are using these for flagpoles right now, I could see any number of other uses where you want a 1" pole attached to a wall. I would even consider using them to put up a temporary handrail, they're that sturdy.

Does what it should do Dec 26, 2010
By Neal I had a plastic flagpole bracket prior to this. While it held for years, eventually, during a windy period, it broke. While a plastic bracket is cheaper, I wanted something that would last pretty much as long as I live at this home. We've only had it a short while, but it's held our Christmas flag in daily high, cold winds. It's not going anywhere- worth the extra money.

A good pole holder Oct 07, 2010
By FRANK P KOWNACKI I've had this type of holder before so I knew what I was getting into. I had hoped it would look a bit more weathered / industrial like it does in the photo shown. Unfortunately, it is a bit more bright and shiny than I had hoped. Not an issue with operation but strictly with aesthetics. Between this and the white, this one works better with my home.
