I also bought this shield for my husband in Christmas, 2008. He loves this shield. The quality, coloring and metal is GREAT! Would recommend this a must have for those Captain America fans. This is one of the first shields Captain America had before the red, white and blue one.

Pros: its real steel, its huge enough to completely cover a 6'3 220 grown man from a barrage of lead, its light but heavy enough to feel like your the cap himself, and the handle is very soft and very comfty to hold. it also looks great to hang on the wall or on your room door like i did.
Cons:the arm straps are "Granted" steel hooks, they unhook easier then a 12 yr can get erection.even tho the handle is great to grip the sad part is that the screws cant stay locked in. and when they mean hand painted, they must-of meant by an octopus only thing they got half decent were the stars but it looks like the one i got was actually in WW2.lets put it this way. its more dinged/scratched up then that rocky dennis guy from mask.
Look the only reason i got it cuz it was cheap/made of steel/huge.
i only put 5 stars on it cuz its worth the price and cuz i like the cap.
im painting mine to the red,white & Dark blue so i dont care how it came in, but if your getting it for da way it looks dont bother, in simple terms its great for a hobby doer other than that is not worth getting
